What you need
A pencil, an eraser and a sheet of paper are enough. Draw lightly at first, then trace the lines you want to keep when your lighthouse is finished.

Draw the lighthouse tower
Draw a tall trapezoid with a narrow top and a wider base. Keep both sides almost straight so the tower feels sturdy and easy to copy.

Add the lantern room and roof
Draw a thin horizontal platform on top of the tower. Add a small rectangular lantern room and finish it with a simple triangular roof.

Draw two lighthouse windows
Add two small vertical windows down the center of the tower. Round their tops slightly and leave plenty of space between them.
Beginner tip: Keep the windows small so the lighthouse still looks tall.

Draw two horizontal lines across the tower to create three broad sections. Let each line follow the changing width of the tower.

Draw a row of overlapping rounded shapes around the bottom of the lighthouse. Vary their sizes to make a simple rocky shore.

Add a few long wavy lines in front of and behind the rocks. These simple curves place your lighthouse beside the sea.
Beginner tip: Use only a few waves and leave white space between them for a clean finish.
