What you need
A pencil, an eraser and a sheet of paper are enough. Draw lightly at first, then trace the lines you want to keep when your penguin is finished.
Step 1 of 6
Draw the penguin's body
Start with one large upright oval. This simple egg-like shape becomes the penguin's body.

Add the white belly
Draw a smaller oval inside the body, leaving an even border around it. This inner shape marks the penguin's belly.

Shape the penguin's head
Add a rounded arch over the top of the body. Join it smoothly to both sides to create the head.

Your drawing after step 3 Step 4 of 6
Draw two small wings
Add one narrow leaf-shaped wing to each side of the body. Angle both wings slightly downward.
Beginner tip: Keep the wings short so the penguin retains its plump shape.

Add the eyes and beak
Draw two small round eyes near the center of the head. Place a tiny diamond-shaped beak between and below them.

Finish with webbed feet
Draw two small webbed feet below the body using a few rounded points. Keep them wide enough to balance the penguin.

That's it! You have drawn a penguin.
Trace your favorite lines a little darker, erase any unwanted pencil marks and add color if you would like.
